While pre-production continues, the script is going through more drafts, the department heads are finalizing their crew lists, and we’ve done more location scouting in local areas.  

This week we traveled to over 5 potential locations in the Los Angeles and Orange County area to scout for Persist. Here are some of the awesome things we discovered:

In the spring, we shot a short film that precededs the story in Persist. Today we completed shooting pickups for the prequel in the hills of Brea. After some final VFX work and editing we will release the film online. Lookout for the online release…

After a day of preliminary location scouts, we are going to run some color correction and VFX testing.

Tonight we were able to meet up with our incredible visual effects team: Dale Hollinger, Brandon Johnson, and Ryan Printz. Going over the required effects needed, we realized we could expand this project’s VFX scope beyond expectations with careful camera and lighting planning. Excited for post production already!
